Baggage policy

Checked bags

Checked luggage is limited to 62 linear inches in size (length, breadth, and depth added together). Included in these measurements are any protrusions from the bag, such as handles, wheels, or straps. A 40-pound weight limit applies.

carry-on bags

Frontier carry-on size is restricted to 10 x 16 x 24 inches, including bag handles, wheels, and straps. If carry-on bags exceed this limit, you may have to check them at the boarding gate, which comes with an additional charge.

Cancellation Policy

Frontier Airlines‘ cancellation policy states that you will be entitled to a full refund if you cancel your flight within 24 hours from the time you made the booking and at least 7 days before the scheduled flight departure date. Cancellation fees do not apply if you cancel your flight within this 24-hour window. If you booked your Frontier Airlines flight through Alternative Airlines, you can still receive a full refund if you cancel your flight within the 24-hour window. All you need to do is contact us during our operating hours to make your cancellation/refund request.

Frontier Airlines Group Reservations

At this time, Frontier does not currently offer group travel (10 or more passengers on the same itinerary). If you’d like to travel in a larger group, we encourage you to make multiple reservations with up to nine passengers

Wheelchairs and Mobility Devices

Wheelchairs (manual or electric, folding, non-folding, or collapsible), scooters, and other mobility devices (walkers, canes, and crutches) are allowed items that can be brought onto the aircraft either in the cargo compartment or in the passenger cabin at no charge. The passenger cabin has designated space to hold two (2) wheelchairs within the cabin based on space availability. Any additional wheelchairs will be stowed in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.

A wheelchair in the cabin cannot exceed 40 in high x 13 in wide x 50 in long and weigh more than 70 lbs.

Non-collapsible wheelchairs, scooters, or other battery-powered wheelchairs can be checked at the ticket counter or departure gate.

Pregnant Women

Expectant women are required to consult their treating doctors to be fully assured about their fitness to fly. Especially women in their 9th week are required to get the fit to fly certificate. Women having complications are discouraged from flying.

Wheelchair Assistance

Frontier Airlines provides assistance for passengers using the wheelchairs. The airline allows the wheelchair to be carried as check-in baggage without any charges. However, there is a space of only one wheelchair inside the cabin of an Airbus plane. Therefore, the request shall be made at the earliest, preferably at the time of booking tickets.

Unaccompanied Children

Frontier Airlines does not accept children of less than 5 years of age to be taken on flights unaccompanied. However, children of 5 to 15 years can be taken unaccompanied. These children are not accepted for flights that have one or more stops or even for international flights.

I was surprisingly super pleased with flying Frontier. Yes, almost everything is self service so you won’t be charged a fee. But if you do need assistance, for example, needing a boarding pass printed, you will be charged. Super comfortable seats with enough legroom. There is no wifi, seats don’t recline, and no movies are provided. I was in basic economy. They offer basic beverages like water. They did offer a menu with snacks like bags of chips, soda, limited alcohol selection that needs to be paid separately. I would recommend it for short durations. However, if they did play movies this would certainly be my airline of choice.

Had no problems with this flight. Boarding was fast and had a good seat in row 17. For the price, I can’t complain. I paid for carry on but my flight was still cheaper than Delta. For a short flight, it was perfect. Just bring your own snacks on board.
